TechVision Seminar & Exposition 2009

26/11 saw, at Mumbai, the financial capital of India, a series of terrorist attacks, multiple hostage crisis, mindless killings and fierce gun battles, lasting about sixty hours - and at the end, a disrupted life. The terrorists had struck major targets including luxury hotels and a Jewish Centre, frequented by Westerners and elite Indians, and holed up later inside these buildings with innocent civilians as hostages. Prior to this, they also had targeted at least seven more places, and went on a killing spree on that fateful Wednesday evening.

Irrespective of the strong and concerted world response against the acts of these stateless perpetrators, the process to spread terror in India is continuing unabated from across the border. If the intelligence and news reports are to be believed, all out efforts are being made not only through the western and eastern borders of India, but also through the lengthy coast line to infiltrate and push these stateless, mindless actors into our mother country. This event has resulted in panic buying and installation of security related gadgets, without any professional assistance or advice.

A close analysis will reveal the sophistication, planning and lethality leading to ever increasing number of deaths and damage. Obviously, tech-savvy terrorists are always at an advantage as they are uniquely placed to use all possible types of terror tactics at their will, ranging from hostage taking, driving explosive laden vehicles, using sea routes, indiscriminately shooting at civilians and using grenades to maximise the damage.

In order to create awareness, and to organise large users, clients, vendors and major organisations and personnel likely to be affected by the Terror, under one umbrella, we are conducting a one day seminar at Kochi.
